The Brick and the Mirror (Khesht Va Ayeneh; Ebrahim Golestan, 1965) was digitally restored by the Film Studies Center in Chicago, and screened at among others the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2016 and the Venice Film Festival 2018.

In 2016, curator Ehsan Khoskbakht programmed a homage of the Golestan Studio at the festival Il Cinema Ritrovato: https://festival.ilcinemaritrovato.it/en/proiezione/golestan-film-studio-between-poetry-and-politics/

The film is a prime example of the Iranian New Wave.
